Festivals in February

February - month with the most naughty and tricky weather..

Probably the best time to sit somewhere indoors, with some warm delights .. will think of sports later:)

• Artistic souls love winter in the Netherlands:
  • International Film Festival in Rotterdam started in January, but still goes on in February. Great reason to explore Rotterdam:)
  • Feel the passion of Flamenco Biennale in Amsterdam: Jan to Mid February.

• 2nd week of February is great for sport fans:
  • Rotterdam Ahoy hosts a week of ABNAmro Open Tennis.
    • by the way, the same weekend they still have Rotterdam Art Week. Arts & Sports, what can be better!:)
  • Crazy runners - welcome to Groet uit Schoorl - the biggest winter runs in the  Netherlands

• Mid-February all the world goes crazy for St. Valentimes:) Particularly in this weekend there are plenty of parties: speed-dating, salsa festivals, Latin Breeze parties and more.. Just check your neighbourhood club if not to go further:)

• 3rd weekend of February - Foodies time has come:
  • Chocoa Festival or
  • Ramen Festival
  • Your choice?:)

• In February we also celebrate Carnival week in the South of the Netherlands. Dress up and come for fun to Maastricht, Eindhoven, Breda, Tilburg.. Some Dutch people even take holidays for the week of Carnival.
