Spring is probably the most beautiful & colorful time to be in the Netherlands!

The country is FULL of Flowers every single day of Spring, even more!

  • Yellow daffodiles announce start of the Spring already in January. They grow everywhere, like weeds, in all the lanes and parks:) Throughout January and February these yellow little sunnies give us hope for more sun and warmth.

  • Official opening of the Tulips season is celebrated on the National Tulip Day, on the 3rd Saturday of January.

    • Come to Dam Square in Amsterdam and browse through dozens of thousands of tulips to pick up Your very own bouquet of tulips. For free:)

After the official opening of the tulips season, it will take a couple of months when you actually can see tulips blossoming in the fields. That's ok - you still have lots of other flowers to enjoy:

    • March is the time for aromatherapy at hyazinths fields:

      • Come to Lisse area to drive / bike around to discover the most colorful and fragrant fields.

    • End of March everyone starts watching reports from Cherryblossom gardens & parks,

      • Amstelveen's Kersenbloesompark with its 400 blosoming trees is one of the most famous in the country.

      • Take your camera, picnic basket, kimono.. Celebrate the Cherryblossom Festival!

    • March is also time when the world's most popular flower garden - the Keukenhof - opens its gates for tourists!

      • 2 months is not enough for this beauty.

      • And every year there is a new theme, for example, 2022 was the Classics theme whilst 2024 - 'The future has already started'. 

  • In April you can start finding out what are your most favourite tulip fields.

    • Mid April is the most probable time to find blossoming tulips.

  • End of April - join a week of the most flowerful marathon in the world: The Flowers Parade BloemenKorso.

    • It starts in Noordwijk and ends 42km away - in Haarlem.

  • After Bloemencorso go Orange - celebrate King's Birthday:)

    • You can come to Hallerbos earlier - to celebrante Bluebell Festival. Well, it happens the same days with the Bloemencorso and King's day. What a choice to make!

  • May is to wrap up Flowerful spring: Last days of Keukenhof garden, last days of tulips in blossom..
