Biggest events of the year in the Netherlands

The Biggest and the Must-See events in the Netherlands:

• Spring, mid-March to mid-May, is the most beautiful time to be in the Netherlands: the famous gardens of Keukenhof open their gates for just 2 months of the year to show beauty of flowers.  The blossoming tulips cover the country.

• King's Day - on the 26th of April. All country turns into Orange, Street parties are everywhere. It's also a day of "garage" sale - Netherlands turns into a giant flea market.

• Flower parade Bloemenkorso - This colorful processions is going through tulip fields of Lisse, from Noordwijk through the gorgeous Keukenhof up to Haarlem. The biggest and the Must See parade takes place on the last weekend of April.

• Pride week end of July-starting August. Fun & Cool boat processions on the Amsterdam city canals, street parties rainbow style.

• Run from Amsterdam to Zandaam at the Dam to Dam mid September and Amsterdam TCS Marathon. These are one of the world's biggest running events.

• Amsterdam Lights festival shows the city at its most beauty and in the most creative and artistic way. The Lights are on from November till end of January.
