Here is the list of great places to enjoy flower fields and Dutch floral spring:
#1 - of course, the fields around Keukenhof, the world's famous - the most flowerful and beatiful roadrip route - the Bollenstreek. Come to Hillengom, from there continue to Lisse, then Sassenheim and then to Noordwijk.
50+ km of pure beauty to drive and to cycle! One challenge though: It is such a popular destination, that it is too crowded and harmful for the fields. Police are driving around and stopping people from photosessions in the fields.
So, if you want to make gorgeous photosessions among tulips, the best way - to come to specially designated tulip farms. These are miniversions of Keukenhof. #2 The world's biggest flowers field is located in De Kop Van Noord Holland: between Petten, Den Helder, Nieuwe Niedorp and Wieringerwerf.
Start your journey in Petten, continue up towards Callantsoog, ’t Zand, Julianadorp, Breezand, Anna Paulowna, up to Den Helder. Indeed, you can find some tulips even in the Texel islands.
#3 - Tulips, Windmills and Cheese - the most romantic views of tulips are in Alkamaar area: Egmond, Bergen, Broek op Langedijk, Schermerhorn en Heiloo.
#4 - Imagine an island full of tulips! Come to South of the Netherlands to an island of Goeree-Overflakkee: Tulips, Windmills and Sea!
#5 - As you are in the South of the Netherlands, plan to pick up some tulips at Pluktuin la Fleur, which is available in 8 locations: Serooskerke, Steenbergen, Noordgouwe, Bergen op Zoom, Hoogerheide, Yerseke, ‘s-Heer Hendrikskinderen and Sint-Gilles-Waas (Belgium).
